Matthew 10 freely received, freely give

It is amazing that Jesus called the Twelve and gave them His power to cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead in Matthew 10.  Among these Twelve was "Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him." (10:4)

The disciple who betrayed Jesus was given such power during Jesus earthly ministry; the same as the other eleven.  Wow!  It seems to be summed up in verse 8 when Jesus said to them to perform these God miracles to the lost sheep of the house of Israel... "Freely you have received, freely give..."

What is God showing us by pointing this out in the book of Matthew?  Judas who betrayed Jesus witnessed all that Jesus did during His earthly ministry, and even he himself was used to perform God miracles.  And yet, Judas betrayed Jesus by turning Jesus in to be captured.  Ph how amazing is His grace (undeserved, unmerited favor)...
